Whew! Another fun collection release by Girlcult to obsess over!

Once again I am deeply excited about Girlcult releasing a new makeup series. This was released early/mid August.

In the collection there are:

Let’s go through the core products of the collection!

Starting with the lip glosses.

Okay sooooo right away I am feeling like the colors are underwhelming. I was hoping for a striking shade that stands out like in their other collections. It could be they are hard to sell so they just dialed it back for this collection. I don’t hate all of the shades. I’m just not a huge fan of the more vibrant peachy tones like shade J818 and J819.

I would LOVE to pick up JK02 (Summer flowers) and JK01 (South Sea). I actually own some of their other lip glosses. Absolutely love them because of the unique finishes, and oily, non sticky feeling on the lips. Girlcult lippies have a rosy smell, keep in mind if you are sensitive to smells! (I love it though.) When applying, pump the wand so you can get the best non-sticky and smooth texture on your lips.

Oh god the multi-purpose creams!!

I need to try these so bad it’s not funny at all…… I wish this came out in July because these shades would have been so great for the late July/August vibe. Just as you start to see the end of summer creeping on the horizon.

The fact that shade B04 “Sea Dimond” literally looks like sunlight glistening off of the water from the sea?? It’s magical! I am so curious about the texture, this would be great for my dry skin. Although I wonder how it would perform over my go-to face products.

One thing about Girlcult – their packaging is just beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful!! These peachy, orange shades though??? I am… hesitant! I am really not an orange girl….. So it’s just not appealing to me right now. It’s still giving “summer” to me though…

The other day I was reviewing my last “July Favs” Article, and I mentioned all pink makeup looks. And a makeup look flashed in my mind – an all orange makeup look. I winced because I’m a coward. Why am I being a hater on orange looks?? Is orange under appreciated? I think.. I think yes!

Super off topic.,,, I am open to trying these shades I have a couple GC blushes.I like the muted hues for my skin tone so I can image that these will be flattering. They are easy to blend and I like using them as eyeshadow too!

They have added a multi-use makeup pen for this collection too!

Same note, I wish they just added more color here. It seems like they are really learning into more natural colors this release. They are also more warm toned. I think everyone should have a multi-purpose tool like this in their kit! I personally use the Heart Percent Lip liner in “Cozy Brown” for everything. My eyes, nose contour, lips! I can definitely see myself using these shades for some easy makeup looks!

I love using my makeup for more than their intended “role”. You can get amazing finishes or unique colors by mixing a blush with lip color, or using a lipstick as an eyeshadow base in a pinch!

I know some people who can’t fathom the idea of experimenting like that. They strictly use their makeup products for their intended purpose. Which…. is a bit strict if you ask me… In the end of the day, it’s not my makeup, so it’s ultimately not my business!

Anyhow, with more multi-use products available, even a makeup purist can find their go-to choice so they can throw it in their bag and go! Just think about how nice it would be to have some products like this when you are traveling?? You can condense your makeup items in a smaller bag and go about your trip, me personally? I take like 30 makeup products for a … for a 5 day trip hahahaha..

I am hoping I can get my hands on some of the products from this collection soon. I have been pretty hesitant because of the tariffs. So it’s just something I will need to pick up later and swatch for y’all!

I’m a huge fan of Girlcult makeup, I own quite a bit of of their products. I was thinking that this new release is a great way for me to start up my swatch series. There really isn’t a ton of information about the brand, even their Instagram hasn’t been updated in years. It’s hard to find a lot of swatches without doing a bit of digging. I WILL say right here and right now I think this brand is very olive skin tone friendly!
