Moon Perfumes I want

Today, October 6th, 2025, we have the first super moon of year! I always enjoy seeing the moon at it’s peak luminosity. Especially when I’m away from the city. Like when i am in the desert, and the full moon is beaming over the desert landscape. It’s really beautiful and it makes my heart swell a little bit.

The moon has many fans, for centuries people have honored celestial deities which represent the power the moon holds.

Even today, in subtle ways, people love to represent the moon. They will pick up a crescent shaped necklace. They will decide to tend to a moon garden. I think it’s cute how humanity still holds these tendencies to represent or honor the moon.

Well I am DEFINITELY once of those people who loves to buy items that are inspired by the moon.

I’m about halfway down the bottle of my Zara “Moonlight Whisper Intense” a nutty, sweet, syrupy perfume. It’s a little strong at first, but I love it once it dries down and settles on me.

I have a lot to go before even think of picking up another perfume. However, in the spirit of the full moon I wanted to list out my favorite moon theme fragrances.

The first moon perfume I must present is:

“Moon Glory” The Harmonist

I was in Neiman Marcus on a rainy day doing my usual window shopping. I HAD to stop by the perfume section to do some sniffing. Here the customer service is always so hit or miss… That day, a pleasant happy sales rep catches me looking at “The Harmonist” section.

She pulls out a potion shaped shimmery gray bottle. Hmmm. Moon Glory. It looked so mystical and definitely looked a little bottled up moon. Spray once, than another time. Put the card to my nose…. Sweet, honey, milky floral magic. It keeps pulling me in and I can’t stop honestly. I’m so addicted .I think the smell is more niche and is unique. Definitely not for everyone. Unapologetically. I love it so much. I will get a full bottle of it one day (and a few other from the Harmonist)

Moon Carnival Eau de Parfum Vilhelm Parfumerie

For this, we are still keeping things quite sweet but letting florals take the lead. Notes are listed as: passionfruit, bergamot, tuberose, gardenia, orchid, marshmallow, tonka bean. Passionate, everlasting, devoted love bottled right here. The description on the website confirms just that.

“His love was a dancer whose golden skin held the scent of passion who loved tuberose more than any other flower. So he travelled the world in search of all the tuberose to fill the moon. For seven days and seven nights, the moon scattered this enchanting scent – pears, patchouli, ambroxan, orris and musk – across the universe.”

Replica Fantasies Dancing on the Moon Eau de Parfum by Maison Margela

I am not typically a huge fan of Maison Margela perfumes, in this case the name caught my attention immediately. Going off of the description it seems to be taking on a stone like, fresh, smell tied together but some white florals. White floral smells can’t fix everything okay! Yes, it’s been on my mind and I must smell it!

“Soir de Lune Eau de Parfum” Sisley Paris

Delightfully sweet, but there is much more beyond the surface!Fruits, nuts, flowers come together for this chic beauty. The bottle color does slightly resemble the yellow hue that the moon takes on at time. I love how it’s topped with the sculptural cap that elevates the entire look.

What caught my attention here is that the notes here are leaning to be warm and slightly spicy that grounds the sweet notes. Gorgeous. Sexy. Warm. Now I need to smell i!

MOON DUST MiN NEW YORK

Among all the interpretations, this one leans more realistic. Straight from the website listing it’s described as.

Inspired by astronauts’ accounts of lunar dust as “spent gunpowder,” it opens with coriander, mineral accord, and carrot seed, evoking a dry, rooty brightness. The heart reveals flint, ozone, and tobacco, unfolding ashen smoke and leathery depth against the silence of space. Anchored by benzoin, black musk, and earth, the base lingers with a powdery, mysterious warmth — like cosmic dust settling on skin.

Exciting! A raw and more honest perspective on what the moon smells like. Not typical feminine connotations but something that feels more cold, distant and mysterious.

I’m almost done with my list… I realized we are like 1 grand into costs… You don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars on your fragrance. I found two indie perfume companies who released some options that are charming, delightful and right on theme!

“The Moon” – Andromeda’s Curse

From the Etsy listing it’s directly described as “Milk, Honey, White Florals”. Honey is also a note used in “Moon Glory” and “Soir de Lune”. Reviewers describe this scent as sweet, not overpowering and a delicate smell that is comforting. This sounds like a lovely evening/bedtime fragrance. I personally love using a night time perfume to help ease me into sleep. What could be more on brand than trying this??

“Snow Moon Magic” Sorce

The description sounds like my dream perfume. Creamy, dreamy, and sweet wrapped in a soft blanket of comfort! I can’t even believe someone thought of this.

Direct notes on the product listing are “Lavender sugar, vanilla steamed milk, chai spices, tonka bean, Cashmeran, Ambroxan, crystals charged by the moonlight (our crystal accord), marshmallow, cookie butter, and Tahitian vanilla”

So basically some of my favorite things in one spot.

I planned to pick this up a couple years ago but it wasn’t a good time for me. I see now that has been well received with pretty solid reviews. Unfortunately, it’s currently sold out but it will be going on my wishlist so I can scoop it up soon. They also have a release closely name “Moon Magic” which I am really tempted to try.

I mean there are SO many lunar inspired perfumes on the market. Here I listed 5 that I really want but I would love to try them all. I’m all for things that help me tap into that lunar energy.

But let’s be honest.. and realistic. There are many other ways to connect to that moon energy without spending any money. You can reflect on the your past, set some intentions. Spend the evening admiring the lunar glow. And even more raw, and dare I say sexy? Get into some water under the moon light (I have to try that one – that might heal me).

So please don’t think you need to spend ANY money. I actually hope you spend NO money today. This is a fun post inspired by amplified moon and how stunning I think it is.

Have you picked up any of these?

Do you have any other moon perfumes you want to pick up?

Happy full moon and do something lunar inspired now!
