A plain white t-shirt is amazing. Crisp, fresh, versatile.

I always fall back on it when I am struggling to think of an outfit. There is a reason why it’s a closet staple. It will never fail you as long as you maintain a few rules.

  1. Emphasis on CRISP – please ensure your shirt is very clean and in great condition!
  2. Flattering Cut – v-neck, boat neck, crew neck. Is it fitted, or baggy? Your personal taste is very important. Yet, the way it sits on your body will help ensure you look and feel good no matter what you pair it with.

Very simple, beginner rules to follow. After that you can have some real fun! Accessories and layers. This white shirt is paired with a brown leopard bra. The print is a fun peek-a-boo moment that I want people to see + it goes with my signature belt!

This brown belt is my favorite. It’s the perfect width and it goes with most of the clothes and accessories I own. I got it from a leather shop in Bulgaria! I’ve taken it everywhere with me when traveling and it’s held up so well too.
Of course, you must add accessories. Gold jewelry and beaded jewelry were my go to this past summer. It’s September now, so I need to start pulling out my fall outfits very, very soon!

With my casual outfits I love to layer my rings, bracelets and necklaces. Especially if the rest of your outfit is more simple, you have room to experiment. I love letting my jewelry take the spotlight on an outfit!

My makeup was pretty simple, I just added a light layer of MAC’s “Gel”. A golden frost lipstick that is a perfect topper to emphasize the curves of your lips. It’s a delicate gold color (I gotta make a “Swatch it!” post forsure!

I just finished moving into my new place, it’s been a crazy, crazy month. I wanted to post more but this period has taken a lot out me mentally. Regardless, I am so happy to be closing out this chapter now.

What accessories were you wearing a lot this summer?

And, what is your go-to closet staple? White t-shirt? A pair of black boots? A pair of hoops?
